Greatwall® Co., Ltd. originated in 1965 and was the first large-scale alloy production enterprise independently designed and constructed by the Chinese government.
In 2010, it was acquired by China Minmetals Corporation, thus becoming an affiliate under the ownership of China Minmetals Group.
